Mike latter went on to complete a 50 canopy formation. The painting is situated over Titusville, Florida, David had to get every detail of the ground and the characters in the team correct. (However, David did put himself in the hardest slot on the formation!). He used road maps and satellite images of Cape Canaveral to get the launch pads, shuttle landing strips, buildings, roads and landscaping accurate! This painting is massive, and the picture of it on the opening page is deceiving..... Mike GOODEN'S and the other man in the picture are both quite tall
